The initial concept of Gricelda’s Smoke House was to assist our Anglers in getting their catches back home, as you can imagine in the early days that entailed a lot of juggling. More than two decades later we have it down to a precision art.

For the best possible taste we use Grace’s secret reciepe of special marinade, along with the natural flavouring of wood smoke, giving you our distinctive Gricelda’s Smoke House speciality.

Here are your options:-

1.) Rough Fillet, bagged| US$ (dependent on fish weight)

2.) Whole fish, Freeze, Vacuum Pack & Store| US$ (dependent on fish weight)

3.) Processing; Clean & Filleting, Freeze, Vacuum Pack & Store| US$ 1.75 per lb (finished weight)

4.) Smoking, Freeze, Vacuum Pack & Store| US$ 5.75 per lb (finished weight)

*Please Note; the Smoking treatment reduces the weight of your fish by 50%

Each vacuum pack typically holds 2 portions.

Gricelda’s smoked fish is packaged in delicacy sized pieces.  

As mentioned, our’s is the only Legitamate Smoke House in town. We must certify your valid fishing license before accepting your catch for the Smoke House Treatment.

Your prepared catch is stored with us ready for your journey home.

If travelling with frozen catch you will need a hard or soft-sided cooler (styrofoam not acceptable).

Gricelda’s Smoke House has a selection of large cooler bags, smaller insulated envelopes and heavy duty, double walled and insulated cardboard boxes… as needed; protecting your fish to allow more than enough time to travel home.

Smoked fish is refrigerated when packed so no refrigeration needed during travel.

*All food products should be packed in checked luggage and, if required in your arrival country, declared at Customs.

*US Customs allows the open transport of your fish; YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DECLARE YOUR FISH TO US CUSTOMS.

When returning to the marina, to make things easier for you, be sure to ask our Charter Captains to call ahead and let us know you intend to use Gricelda’s Smoke House.

This way we can have someone meet you dockside to collect and carry your catch, no matter how much it weights !
